Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), activates receptors in the body’s endocannabinoid system. That's what creates the euphoric high sensation that people experience when they use cannabis for recreational purposes.
Cannabidiol (CBD), is another cannabinoid becoming more and more popular for its medicinal properties and therapeutic applications. Although it affects some of the same receptors as THC, it influences them differently and does not create any euphoria.
